Reservoir Construction -
South Pickenham Estate
This 70million gallon clay lined reservoir involved moving approximately 300,000 tonnes of soil from a maximum depth of 15metres.
Reservoir
Construction involved the placement of impermeable clay liner on the upper level to prevent water loss through the upper permeable soils. Work also involved river abstraction, a pump house, extraction and fill pipework, bank protection, jetties, steps, gabion protection and a floating island.
